Blake Griffin tied his career-high in assists (11) against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday for the third time in his career.

He’s averaging a career-high 4.7 assists a game, more than the other top power forwards in the league.

New Orleans Pelicans’ Anthony Davis is averaging 1.6 assists a game. San Antonio’s Tim Duncan is averaging three assists a game. Dallas Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki is averaging 2.3 assists a game. Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love is averaging 2.4 assists a game. Oklahoma City Thunder’s Serge Ibaka is averaging 0.9 assists a game. And Portland Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge is averaging 1.9 assists a game.

Griffin is averaging at least two more assists than each of them.

Griffin’s passing skills add another dimension to the Clippers, forcing defenders to have to stop the prolific scorer without collapsing on him and leaving his teammates open.

The Clippers have lost three of their last four games, most recently falling to the Atlanta Hawks, 107-104, on Tuesday. They return home to host the Golden State Warriors on Christmas evening at 7:30 p.m. at Staples Center.
