Ducks center Ryan Kesler returned to the team Monday after missing the previous two games for a family matter.

He is expected to play against Edmonton on Monday night in the finale of a five-game trip through Canada. The Ducks went 1-1 without Kesler, who plays in all situations and anchors the defensive shutdown line with Andrew Cogliano and Jakob Silfverberg.

The Ducks are still awaiting the returns of defensemen Kevin Bieksa (upper body injury), Sami Vatanen (upper body injury) and Simon Despres (undisclosed). Bieksa and Vatanen are with the team, but Despres was earlier sent home for further evaluation. Despres missed 42 games this season because of a concussion.
