Dwyane Wade surprises Miami teen as her prom date
Dwyane Wade, the Heat superstar who is trying to help Miami win a second consecutive NBA championship this spring, surprised a Miami teenager when he showed up unexpectedly at her senior prom on Friday night.
Nicole Muxo made a YouTube video last month inviting Wade to be her date at the Archbishop Coleman Carroll High prom.
She got no reply, though.
Then Wade showed up at the La Jolla Ballroom in Coral Gables, Fla., on Friday night with roses in hand, much to the surprise of Muxo and her classmates.

Wade mingled with Muxo and her friends, posing for pictures and hitting the floor with her for one dance.

Wade then headed home to continue preparation for the Eastern Conference finals as the Heat wait for its opponent to be determined with the Indiana Pacers hosting the New York Knicks on Saturday in Game 6 of their semifinal series.
