Maria Sharapova, the epitome of grace and elegance on and off the court, has kept her private life rather private over the years, including her romance and subsequent engagement to former Laker Sasha Vujacic.

Since the former No. 1 women’s tennis player in the world called off the wedding plans last year with Vujacic, there had been plenty of speculation as to budding romances. That has come to an end.

During the Madrid Open this week, Sharapova was photographed hand in hand and lip to lip with Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov.

When she completed a third-round victory over Sabine Lisicki on Thursday, Sharapova exited the court signing autographs as usual, stopping to write a message on a television camera lens.

“How did you catch us???” she wrote for TV viewers in what appears to be a cryptic message to paparazzi.

On Sunday, Sharapova will play Serena Williams for the Madrid Open title and the No. 1 ranking in the world.
