Watch Tara Lipinski pay tribute to ‘The Big Lebowski’ ... on ice
Tara Lipinski was a fresh-faced 15-year-old from Philadelphia back in 1998 when she skated into our hearts and won the women’s figure skating Olympics gold medal in Japan.
Now she’s all grown up and ready to serve as an analyst for NBC for the Sochi Games.
But before leaving for Russia, she visited the network’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” performing a figure skating routine on the rink at Rockefeller Center while dressed like The Dude from “The Big Lebowski” and holding a white Russian the entire time.
Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense (except maybe the Sochi/Russian connection) unless you know the name of the sketch -- “The Big Lipinski.” Get it?
OK, so it’s not even close to the funniest segment ever aired on Fallon’s show. But it was nice to see Lipinski again.
And it really was impressive to see her perform all those fancy moves without spilling her drink. The Dude would be pleased.
