Baseball: El Camino Real is No. 1 seed for City Section Division I playoffs
El Camino Real is seeded No. 1, Narbonne No. 2, Kennedy No. 3 and Banning No. 4 for the City Section Division I baseball playoffs. Wild-card games are May 21. First-round games are May 28. Quarterfinals are May 30. The semifinals are June 4 at USC and the final is June 7 at Dodger Stadium.
Most notable about the pairings is that Chatsworth, which tied with El Camino Real for the West Valley League title but didn’t get a chance to play the Conquistadores on Friday because the game was canceled, was given the No. 5 seed and is in the same bracket with El Camino Real. The two schools could meet in the semifinals. They’ve combined to win 16 City titles.
