Boys’ soccer: UCLA recruit named Gatorade national player of the year
UCLA-bound Abu Danladi from Dunn High in Los Olivos has been selected the Gataorade national player of the year in boys’ soccer.
The presentation was made Thursday at his school in a surprise presentation by former MLS All-Star Alecko Eskandarian.
Danladi scored 25 goals this past season. He is a graduate of Ghana’s Right to Dream program, which helps young men from Ghana further their education in other countries.
