Lanes reopen after fatal crash on 101 Freeway in North Hollywood
A person was killed Monday morning in a crash on the westbound 101 Freeway, which triggered lane closures in North Hollywood, but all lanes have since reopened.
The crash was reported about 5:21 a.m. at Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Radford Avenue. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, Officer Tony Polizzi of the California Highway Patrol said.
All lanes were closed on the westbound 101 Freeway for more than two hours as authorities investigated the fatal crash and waited for the Los Angeles County coroner to arrive, he said. By 8:41 a.m., all lanes were reopened.
