Woman, 25, found slain in Santa Clarita home; husband arrested
A 48-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of killing his 25-year-old wife, who was found dead on the living room floor of a Santa Clarita home, authorities said.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home in the 22800 block of 9th Street about 2 a.m. to conduct a welfare check and saw the body of Courtney Arvizu through the windows, sheriff’s officials said in a statement.
Deputies forced their way into the home and found that Arvizu appeared to have suffered from blunt force trauma, sheriff’s officials said.
Her husband, Robert Arvizu, was arrested at the residence and booked on suspicion of murder. He’s being held on $1-million bail and is scheduled to appear Tuesday in the San Fernando Courthouse.
