NBA game of the week: Miami at Lakers
MIAMI AT LAKERS: Sunday at 12:30 p.m. PST. TV: Channel 7.
The story lines became a lot less savory when Kobe Bryant said he wasn’t mad at Dwyane Wade for ushering in the Mask Era with a hard foul in the All-Star game. Wade smacked Bryant’s nose, then apologized via phone message and the duo appeared on the verge of breaking into “Kumbaya” after Bryant said of the Heat guard, “He’s a nicer guy than I am, to be honest with you.” Nevertheless, the Lakers still find themselves in need of a signature victory against the Eastern Conference more than midway through the season; they are 0-5 against Miami, Chicago, Orlando, Indiana and Philadelphia. Heat forward-center Chris Bosh could play against the Lakers after missing two games to attend his grandmother’s funeral.
