First impressions are lasting, and the one left by Ducks’ goalie Frederik Andersen in the first week of this season has established him as the team’s No. 1 goalie.

Andersen on Monday was named one of the NHL’s “Three Stars” of the first week, along with high-scoring Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos and Dallas Stars center Tyler Seguin.

Following a disappointing 6-4 loss with rookie John Gibson in net for the Ducks’ Oct. 9 season-opener in Pittsburgh, Andersen responded with five consecutive starts, winning all five, including a shutout Sunday, 3-0, over the St. Louis Blues.

“The last five minutes [Sunday], you start thinking, ‘Let’s play for the goalie,’ ” Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau said Sunday night after Andersen stopped 28 shots (16 in the third period) to clinch his first career shutout. “I hope the NHL takes a look at him for ‘Three Stars.’ ”

The victory gives Andersen a 25-5 career record, leaving only him and Boston’s 1972-74 goalie Ross Brooks as men who’ve won 25 of their first 30 starts as an NHL goalie.

Andersen’s goals-against average was 1.22 as he helped the Ducks to the first four victories in their five-game winning streak, as he beat Detroit, Buffalo and Philadelphia (by shootout) on the road, then let by just one goal Friday as Anaheim rallied to beat Minnesota after the Wild’s five-day break.

Meanwhile, Seguin led the league with eight points, scoring four goals, and Stamkos started the week with five goals, including his eighth career hat trick.

Also Monday, the Ducks brought Gibson back from a two-game visit to play for minor-league Norfolk, where he finished 1-1. Goalie Jason LaBarbera was sent back to Norfolk.

The Ducks seek to extend their winning streak to six games Wednesday at home against the Buffalo Sabres, who scored just once on Andersen on 12 shots on Oct. 13 in Buffalo, N.Y. The Ducks’ won 5-1, out-shooting the Sabres, 44-12, in what Boudreau has said was a “perfect game.”
