Real Madrid public workout is sold out, Galaxy and UCLA say
A workout by soccer giant Real Madrid on Friday, which was moved to UCLA from StubHub Center in Carson, is sold out and tickets are no longer available to the public, the Galaxy and UCLA said Thursday.
The Galaxy initially planned for Real Madrid and Everton FC to hold the open training session at StubHub Center, the Galaxy’s home field, with general-admission tickets priced at $35.
The session is in preparation of the clubs’ play Saturday at Dodger Stadium in the Guinness International Champions Cup.
The Galaxy said Wednesday that Real Madrid asked to change the venue to UCLA, where the team has been training since arriving in Southern California on Sunday, and that because of the change Everton would not participate.
On Thursday, the Galaxy and UCLA said the Real Madrid session, to be held at 5 p.m., was sold out and not open to the general public. They said only those fans who previously bought tickets to attend the workout at StubHub Center would have access to the UCLA session.
UCLA said fans who park in its Lot 4 structure must show their tickets for complimentary parking. The workout is scheduled for UCLA’s North Athletic Field.
