Girls Roundup : Swanson Leads Costa Mesa Past Saddleback

Share

Costa Mesa High School Coach Paul Kahn figured he had nothing to lose Tuesday night. His team had trailed Saddleback the entire game and entering the fourth quarter the Mustangs were behind by seven points.

Because Costa Mesa’s main problem had been poor shooting, Kahn moved sophomore forward Stephanie Swanson outside at the off-guard position. She usually plays near the key.

Swanson scored 10 points in the fourth as the Mustangs rallied past the Roadrunners, 46-43, in Sea View League action at Costa Mesa.
