Coaches Name Green and Hakeman Co-Players of Year in Empire League
Kennedy High School forward Jeff Green and El Dorado guard Bart Hakeman were named the Co-Players of the Year by the Empire League’s basketball coaches.
Green, a 6-foot 4-inch senior, averaged 18.1 points and 10.1 rebounds a game during the regular season. Hakeman, a 6-1 senior, averaged 19.3 points per game and shot 54% from the field.
Kennedy’s John Mayberry and El Dorado’s Terry Conley, were named Co-Coaches of the Year, after guiding the teams to the league co-championship.
