Biola Defeats Point Loma in Tournament

Biola College ended Point Loma’s season with a 62-49 victory Saturday night in the semifinals of the NAIA District III Tournament at Occidental College.

Biola, seeded No. 1 in the tournamente and No. 7 in the nation, never trailed. Point Loma, which shot 39% from the floor, cut an 18-point Biola lead to 9 with seven minutes left in the game but never could get closer. Biola shot 61% from the floor. Biola’s record is 28-3. Point Loma finishes at 23-8.
