Sixy Chick Tops Los Al Trial Field
Many of the top 3-year-old quarter horses in training will compete at Los Alamitos tonight, as three 440-yard trials to the May 25 Los Alamitos Derby will be presented as the fifth through seventh races on the program.
Topping the 22 runners shooting for the 10 spots in the final are Sixy Chick, last year’s champion 2-year-old filly and winner of six of seven life-time starts, and Easy Austin, who is the only horse to have beaten highly regarded Eastex twice.
Sixy Chick will run in the sixth race, and Easy Austin will go against consistent Lanes Leinster and Prissy Fein in the seventh race.
