Ocean View Beats Hart in 4-A Quarterfinals of Southern Section Softball

Junior Jackie Oakley allowed just two hits and struck out 11 Thursday to lead top-ranked Ocean View High School of Huntington Beach to a 5-0 victory over Hart of Newhall in the 4-A division quarterfinals of the Southern Section softball playoffs.

Ocean View (30-0) will face Cypress, a 2-0 winner over Burroughs of Burbank, in the semifinals on Tuesday. Also in the 4-A, Westminister defeated Newbury Park 4-2, while Edison was a 5-1 winner over San Marcos of Santa Barbara.

The 3-A and 2-A divisions will compete in quarterfinal action today, with the semifinals scheduled for Tuesday.
