Lisa Bautista of Banning High School threw a record seventh consecutive no-hitter in a 7-0 romp over Chatsworth in the 4-A division quarterfinals of the City softball playoffs.

Bautista, who has 17 no-hitters this season, tied her own National High School record, set earlier this year. The senior had a perfect game and 18 strikeouts against Taft in the opening round of the playoffs, and with 12 against Chatsworth, now has 30 strikeouts in two games.

Bautista lost a perfect game when Traci Atkins reached base on a passed ball after striking out in the sixth inning. Jill Clemens of Chatsworth (10-7) had a no-hitter through four innings, but Banning pushed across four runs on five hits and two errors in the fifth inning.
