Lemon Grove
A 26-year-old Lemon Grove man was found fatally wounded in his car Tuesday night by sheriff’s deputies responding to reports that a shot had been fired.
Bret Fuit was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car, which was parked in front of his home in the 2000 block of Dayton Drive in Lemon Grove, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
He was taken by a Life Flight helicopter to Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 8:30 p.m.
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death as a homicide.
