Rancho Santiago Wins in Water Polo

Mike Cornell scored one minute into the sudden-death overtime period Thursday to give the Rancho Santiago College water polo team a 14-13 victory over Golden West in a nonconference match played in the Dons’ pool.

Both teams scored once in the first, three-minute overtime period and twice in the second overtime period. Charles Sommer led Rancho Santiago (20-1) with four goals, while Cornell added three.
