Mount Carmel Is Host of Water Polo Playoffs
Mount Carmel figures to be the team to beat when the San Diego Section water polo playoffs open this morning with four games at Mount Carmel High School.
The top-seeded Sundevils (20-0) will play Helix (17-7) in the last game of the day. University (16-7) and Mount Miguel (17-5) will open the day’s play at 9:30. No. 2 Valhalla (19-1) will play Poway (19-2) in the second game, followed by Coronado (21-1) vs. Crawford (13-13).
The semifinals are scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Carmel. The championship game will be played next at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mesa College.
