Volleyball Roundup : Golden West Women Clinch Title

The Golden West College women’s volleyball team clinched its third straight South Coast Conference championship Friday night with a 15-1, 15-6, 15-5 victory over Cypress at Golden West.
Sophomore Cecelia Elias had eight kills and five blocks to lead the Rustlers (12-1 in conference, 12-3 overall). Setter Julie Boland had four assists.
In other South Coast Conference action:
Orange Coast 3, Cerritos 2--The Pirates scored a comeback victory, 15-10, 8-15, 10-15, 15-10, 15-9. Leading Orange Coast was Jennifer Deiley who had 20 kills. Barbara Bally added 17 kills and seven blocks for OCC (10-3, 12-3).
Saddleback 3, Rancho Santiago 0--Anna Castillo had 25 assists, and Trina Kogerman added six aces to lead the Gauchos (8-5). Trina Kogerman added six aces for Saddleback.
