Boys Basketball Roundup : Middleton Leads Tustin Over Fallbrook

Rog Middleton scored all of his 16 points in the second half Monday to help Tustin High School defeat Fallbrook, 60-56, in the first round of the Laguna Beach Tournament at Laguna Beach High School. Tustin will meet San Clemente in Thursday’s quarterfinals. Fallbrook plays Troy in the consolation quarterfinals Wednesday.

San Clemente 66, Troy 61--The Tritons built a 36-23 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Warriors in the first round. Gary Wade, a 6-6 forward who is a three-year varsity starter, scored 25 points to lead San Clemente, while John McGraw and Dave Koepsell each added 12 points.

Brad Harker added 10 points for the Knights, who will meet Valencia Wednesday night in the semifinals. Roger Carter scored 21 points and Randy Morales added 13 for Rancho Alamitos, which will play La Habra in the consolation bracket Wednesday.
