HIGHLIGHTS: Marianella Cruz and Andrea Knapp each scored six points in the first quarter to give Louisville a 16-point lead. The Royals led, 12-0, after Tina Kohler opened the game with four points. Louisville’s fast-break offense and full-court defense keyed the Royals’ win.

With 15 seconds left in the game, the Eagles led by a point, but when Talbot hit a1-and-1, the free throws put the game out of reach.... Chaminade never trailed, but the game wastied four times.... Cathy McNamee (M) scored 15 points....The game was physical, with the Eagles pulling down 32 rebounds.... The Eagles’ big gest lead (11) came in the third quarter.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Valiants surged to an eight-point lead with about two minutes left in the first quarter.... LA Baptist center Dawn Broline had a game-high 27 points.... St. Genevieve had a poor night at the free throw line, making just 2 of 15 attempts, while LA Baptist connected on 10 of 19.... St. Genevieve players Eliza beth Morelos, Lisa Dandurand, and Ann Baida all fouled out.

HIGHLIGHTS: With the score tied at 47 and 50 seconds left in the game, sophomore guard Laura Kirkpatrick stole the ball and fed Ariana Lallone under the basket for a layup to give Buckley the win. The Griffins trailed by eight points after three quarters, but Lallone scored 11 points in the fourth quarter. Kirkpatrick, in her first varsity start for Buckley, made five steals.

Moorpark 36,

W. Valley Christian 25

HIGHLIGHTS: Sophomore guard Nana Barrera scored eight field goals in the second quarter to boost Moorpark past West Valley Christian. Barrera finished the night with a game-high 26 points.
