Northern Arizona Stops USD Women, 71-42

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The University of San Diego women’s basketball team ran into a hot-shooting Northern Arizona team Tuesday night and dropped a 71-42 decision.
Northern Arizona (8-5) shot 60% from the field in the first half and took a 35-14 lead. USD shot just 26% in the first 20 minutes. Julie Hanks led Northern Arizona with 20 points, and Dana Brickinhouse scored 15.
Julie Evans and Debbie Sinopoli each scored 10 for the Toreras (5-6).
USD will play the University of Arizona Thursday in Tucson.
