Woman Throws TV to Floor, Sparks Fatal Fire

CHICAGO —
Evelyn Johnson, who told police a television preacher angered her so much that she threw the TV set to the floor, causing it to explode, has been jailed and charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fire that followed, officials said today. Firefighter Edmond Coglianese, 42, died in the blaze Sunday at the Mark Twain Hotel.
