GIRLS SOUTHERN SECTION BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS : Thousand Oaks Falls to No. 3 Buena, 66-38

Buena High, ranked No. 3 in the nation by USA Today, eliminated Thousand Oaks from the girls Southern Section 4-A playoffs Wednesday night, 66-38.
Buena forced 28 turnovers, 17 in the first half, in winning its 25th straight game.
Center Teresa Palmisano led the Bulldogs with 17 points and seven rebounds. Teammates Leslie Carpenter scored 14 points and blocked three shots.
For Thousand Oaks (16-9), forward Lisa Magallanes had 11 points and eight rebounds. Christy Underhill added 10 points for the Lady Lancers.
3-A Division
Louisville 59, Los Alamitos 44--Andrea Knapp scored 33 points and had 11 rebounds as the Royals won a second-round game in Los Alamitos.
It was the 20th consecutive victory for Louisville (24-4), which jumped to a 15-6 lead in the first period and never trailed.
Foothill 61, Burroughs (B) 48--Chris McPherson scored a game-high 24 points for Foothill.
The Indians were unable to penetrate the aggressive Foothill zone defense. Junior forward Kim Powers led Burroughs with 14 points, while senior guard Marlo Jordan added 10.
Burroughs hit only 18 of 61 field goals, but were 12 of 13 from the foul line, a school record. The Indians finished the season with an 18-6 record.
Small Schools Division
Mission Prep (SLO) 58, Oakwood 29--Erika Hardwick and Jill Bademocher combined for 33 points to lead the Royals (17-4) in the second-round playoff game.
Senior center Jamie Green led Oakwood (13-3) with 14 points.
