Canoga Park 12, Chatsworth 7--Canoga Park held off a sixth-inning rally Thursday to upset Chatsworth in a West Valley League game at Lanark Park. Canoga Park (4-5) led 8-0 after three innings but had to fight off the Chancellors, who scored three runs in the sixth.
Chatsworth, (7-1), trailed 9-3 when Brent Ruedy singled to drive in John Dunn. Teammate Robert Roseboro’s double scored Mercelino Mendoza and Ruedy to cut the Hunters’ lead 9-6. Canoga Park scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to cement the victory.
Adam Schulhoffer was 4 for 4 with two RBIs for the Chancellors, and teammate Joel Wolfe was 3 for 4, including two doubles.
