Connors, Planning to Retire, Says Racket Is Outdated
Jimmy Connors said Thursday that he probably will retire from the pro tennis circuit after he wears out his eight remaining rackets.
“My life after tennis is unfortunate, but it’s something that I’m prepared for,” the 33-year-old Connors said.
“I use a racket that I’ve used for the past 18 years and that’s pretty obsolete now,” Connors said. “And by the time I run out of those----I have eight of them left. . .”
