U.S. Water Polo Team Loses to Italy, 10-8

Former Newport Harbor High School water polo players Kevin Robertson and James Bergeson combined for five goals, but the U.S. water polo team lost to Italy, 10-8, in an international six-team tournament Saturday in Marseilles, France.

Robertson scored three goals, Bergeson scored twice and UC Irvine’s Peter Campbell added two more for the United States, which is 1-2 in the round-robin tournament that ends today.
