A proposal designed to prevent a boycott by high school football officiatings crews will be announced by Stan Thomas, commissioner of the Southern Section, at a meeting of the Southern California Football Officials Assn. executive committee Wednesday night.

A member of the officials’ executive committee indicated that the group will probably accept the commissioner’s proposal, allowing officials to take the field for season-opening games Sept. 11.
