A Bonita woman has died of injuries suffered when the car she was riding in went out of control and overturned, the coroner’s office said.
Lucie Nixdorff, 70, was riding in the car when her husband, who was driving, tried to get on California 94 from Interstate 805 about 2 p.m. Thursday, the California Highway Patrol said. The car ran off the road and overturned, a CHP spokesman said.
The couple was taken to Mercy Hospital, where Mrs. Nixdorff died Friday morning, Deputy Coroner Everett Mauger said.
Samuel Nixdorff was listed in stable condition at the hospital Friday night.
