Edison Takes Over Top Spot
Edison High School, which has shut out two opponents by a combined score of 56-0, is the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. high school football poll.
The Chargers become the third team to reach the top spot in three weeks, following Westminster and Santa Ana. Santa Ana, the top-ranked team last week, fell to 10th after a 25-6 loss to fourth-ranked Saddleback.
In the featured game this week, Edison plays host to third-ranked Servite at 7:30 Thursday at LeBard Stadium in Costa Mesa.
