Chaminade 34, Cathedral 7--Tailback Sean Burwell scored on runs of 19 and 86 yards, and teammate Troy Kirk added touchdown runs of 35 and 30 yards to help the Eagles in a one-sided Santa Fe League game.
Burwell, a sophomore tailback, had 175 yards on 14 carries, and fullback Kirk rushed seven times for 99 yards.
Chaminade (3-4-1, 3-1 in league) clinched a Desert Mountain Conference playoff spot with the victory.
Mike Toggenberger completed the Chaminade scoring on a one-yard touchdown run with 10:29 left in the game.
Javier Lopez hit Mark Gutierrez eight yards for a touchdown for Cathedral’s points.
