College Roundup : Pacific Christian Goes 2 for Tuesday
The Pacific Christian College women’s volleyball team, which won two nonconference matches Tuesday, has received a bid to play in the National Collegiate Christian Athletic Assn. tournament, Nov. 15-16, in Indiana.
The Lions (12-5) defeated Dominican College of San Rafael, 15-7, 15-13, 2-15, 15-9, Tuesday morning, and Simpson College of San Francisco, 15-11, 15-7, 15-9, Tuesday night at Cal State Fullerton.
In California Collegiate Athletic Assn. action:
UC Riverside 3, Chapman 0--Anne Kniss had 11 kills and Melanie Jones added 10 kills to lead the Highlanders to a 15-1, 15-10, 15-10, win at Orange.
Riverside improves to 9-1 in the CCAA and 16-6 overall. Caryn McKinney had a team-high eight kills for Chapman (3-5, 10-15).
In women’s soccer:
Cal State Long Beach 4, UC Irvine 1--The Anteaters dropped to 8-9-2 after losing the nonconference match at Long Beach.
