CSUN Gymnastics Team Opens With Win

Cal State Northridge’s women’s gymnastics team swept the top three places in individual competition as it opened up the season by winning a triangular meet against Cal Poly Pomona and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on Friday night at CSUN.
The Lady Matadors finished with 164.35 team points. San Luis Obispo scored 158.35, while Pomona, which didn’t field a complete team, scored 114.45.
Terisa Lacert led the Lady Matadors with 33.35 all-around points. Peggy Bayleff followed with 33.10, while Laura Bertussi tied for third with 32.55 points.
