Six Orange Coast Players Sign Letters of Intent
Six members of the Orange Coast College football team signed letters of intent to attend four-year schools, it was announced Thursday.
Signing were defensive tackle Jeff Shanks (Texas A&M;), guard Mark Kolinchak (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), linebacker Mike Kriens (Kansas State), tight end Rob Phenicie (Memphis State), wide receiver Ollie Perkins (Ohio University) and running back Bjorn Rebney (Ohio University).
Shanks (6-feet 4-inches, 251 pounds) led the team with nine quarterback sacks. He was a second-team all-Mission Conference selection for the Pirates (5-5).
Paul Yniguez, Fullerton College offensive tackle, signed to attend Kansas State.
