Long Beach Women to Play Pacific Tonight
The Cal State Long Beach women’s basketball team, after beating Fresno State by 44 points last Saturday and San Jose State by 67 Thursday, doesn’t figure to get much of a challenge tonight, either, against the University of the Pacific in the University Gym. The Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. game is scheduled for 7:30.
The fifth-ranked 49ers, 15-1 overall and 6-0 in the PCAA, got Coach Joan Bonvicini her 200th victory in the 120-53 win over the Spartans, but it was not a school record for most points in one game. The Long Beach women scored 121 last season--against Pacific.
The Tigers, who lost Thursday at UC Irvine, are 9-5 and 2-3.
