After losing its first five games this season, Clairemont High School seemed on the verge of getting a victory Thursday in its GMC tournament game at University City when it took a 6-5 lead in the 10th.

But Clairemont couldn’t make it past the 10th as umpires called the game because of darkness, nullifying the run the Chiefs had scored in the uncompleted inning.
