Reuss Suffers Second Loss for Nashville
Tom O’Malley’s RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning scored Cecil Espy from third base to snap a 2-2 tie and help give Oklahoma City to a 5-2 victory over Nashville in an American Association baseball game Thursday night.
Jerry Reuss, 0-2, who recently joined the Sounds after being released by the Los Angeles Dodgers, took the loss.
Oklahoma starter Kirk Killingsworth, 1-1, pitched seven innings, allowed five hits and both Nashville runs for his first victory of the season. Reliever Paul Kilgus, who entered the game in the eighth inning, recorded his third save.
Espy went 3-for-4.
