Titans Sweep on Shutouts by Clark, Okerlund
Connie Clark pitched a two-hit shutout and Janis Okerlund a three-hit shutout as Cal State Fullerton swept a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. doubleheader from the University of the Pacific, 3-0 and 6-0, Thursday at Stockton.
Clark (26-1) struck out four for the top-ranked Titans (24-2, 48-5) in the opener. Charis Monroe, a graduate of Ocean View High School, was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Monroe went 3 for 3 with an RBI and Missy Coombs was 2 for 3 with two RBIs to support Okerlund (13-3).
Chenita Rodgers had two hits and Lisa Baker added a triple to help the Titans, who play Fresno State in a doubleheader at Fresno Saturday.
University of the Pacific is 7-21 and 16-39.
