Middleweight James Kinchen continues his comeback effort as part of a seven-bout card Tuesday evening at the Reseda Country Club.

Kinchen (38-3-2, 29 knockouts) will travel from his San Diego training base to face Larry Musgrove (9-7-3, six knockouts) of Los Angeles in the 10-round main event.

Kinchen is looking for his second victory in a series of fights that he hopes eventually will land him a shot at a world-title shot. He had slugged his way nearly to the top of the rankings in a seven-year career, only to lose key fights in the past three years to James Shuler, Iran Barkley and Juan Roldan. Those losses dropped him out of the Top Ten.

He began his comeback two months ago in San Diego by decisioning Randy Smith.

Also on Tuesday’s card: heavyweights Mike Hunter (7-1-2) of Woodland Hills and Gary Lightbourne (12-3, five knockouts) of Las Vegas in an eight-rounder; lightweights Danny Garcia (8-2, five knockouts) of Oxnard and Robert Lewis (6-5-2, four knockouts) of Los Angeles in a six-rounder; featherweights Juan Torres (1-10) of San Diego and Abe Gomez (4-0) of Los Angeles in a five-rounder; and three four-rounders featuring lightweights Steve Lewis of North Hollywood and Armando Centeno of Los Angeles, both making their pro debut; junior middleweights Caleb Ramos (1-2) of Oxnard and Cliff Jackson (1-7) of Los Angeles; and junior welterweights Romel Anderson (2-0) of Bakersfield and Dickie Green (2-3) of San Diego.

The first fight begins at 8 p.m.
