Mater Dei’s Peabody to Play for Loyola

Former Mater Dei High School point guard Tom Peabody has transferred to Loyola Marymount University, where he will be eligible for the 1988-89 season.

Peabody originally signed a national letter of intent with Rice University but left the school and attended Orange Coast College last year. He has three years of eligibility at Loyola.

Peabody averaged 6.3 points, 6.6 assists and 2.9 steals per game in his senior season at Mater Dei. He was a two-season starter, during which time the Monarchs were 59-1.
