Vista Wins Big, Becomes County’s New No. 1

Vista High School, which defeated defending 3-A champion Fallbrook, 50-19, Friday, jumped two spots into the No. 1 slot in The Times’ San Diego County prep football Top 10 poll.

Lincoln, which defeated previously No. 1-ranked Sweetwater, 22-21, Saturday, improved to No. 4 in the rankings, while Sweetwater fell to No. 5. Mount Miguel remained No. 2 after a 30-7 victory over El Cajon. Mount Miguel and No. 7-ranked Mt. Carmel have allowed only 14 points each in four games.
