Chula Vista Falls From Top 10 Poll
SAN DIEGO — Chula Vista, No. 10 last week in The Times’ San Diego County high school football Top 10 poll, lost to No. 7 Sweetwater Friday and fell out of this week’s rankings. Helix, which defeated El Capitan, took over the No. 10 spot.
All other ranked schools won Friday, including top-ranked Vista, to retain their positions. Sixth-ranked Lincoln, which defeated Hoover, 7-6, is the top-ranked 2-A team.
