USIU Wins Men’s Soccer Finale, 1-0, Over USD

Jon Sissons scored at the 72-minute mark on an assist from Darren McCartney to give the United States International University men’s soccer team a 1-0 nonconference victory over the University of San Diego at USD Tuesday.

USIU finished its season 8-9-1.

USD is 11-6-2 and will play the University of San Francisco in the opening round of the West Coast Athletic Conference tournament Saturday at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif.
