Southern Section Volleyball : Fray Has 15 Kills to Lead Esperanza in Sweep Over Arcadia

Teri Fray had 15 kills to lead Esperanza High School over Arcadia, 15-3, 15-7, 15-7, in a Southern Section 4-A second-round volleyball match Friday at Esperanza.

Danielle Reaves had 14 kills and 8 blocks, Beth Kinney had 10 kills, and Heidi Anderson had 51 assists to help the seventh-seeded Aztecs (15-1).

Huntington Beach 3, Glendale 1--Laurie Jones had eight kills and Sharon Kasser had five to lead the Oilers (13-2) to a 15-8, 15-3, 8-15, 15-2 victory at Huntington Beach.

Marina 3, Lakewood 1--Dawn Charroin had 20 kills and 5 blocks to lead the sixth-seeded Vikings (11-5) over Lakewood, 15-13, 10-15, 15-13, 15-12, at Lakewood.

Edison 3, Chaminade 0--Heather Jensen had 10 kills and 2 aces and Leslee Briggs had 7 kills and 4 blocks to lead the Chargers (15-3) to a 15-11, 15-11, 15-3 victory at home.
