Gary Coston missed a 32-yard field goal with two seconds remaining Saturday night as a second-half Arizona rally ended in a 21-21 tie with Washington in Pacific 10 game at Tucson.

Coston, who earlier had field goals of 37 and 20 yards, kicked the ball wide to the right.

Trailing 21-10 at halftime, Arizona came back and, with 6:02 remaining, quarterback Ron Veal dived for a two-point conversion to tie the game after Alonzo Washington’s 25-yard touchdown run.

Washington is 5-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the Pac-10. Arizona is 4-3-2 and 2-2-2.

The tie took the luster off the relief performance by Washington sophomore quarterback Cary Conklin, who completed 18 of 32 passes for 237 yards and 2 touchdowns.
