Zungul Leads Stars to 7-5 Win Over Lazers

TACOMA, Wash. — Steve Zungul scored two goals and had two assists, becoming the first Major Indoor Soccer League player with 400 career assists, as the Tacoma Stars beat the Los Angeles Lazers, 7-5, Saturday night.
Zungul’s performance before 17,444 fans, the second-largest Tacoma Dome crowd in the history of the franchise, left him 11 short of 1,000 career points.
Neil Megson and Preki also scored two goals each for the defending Western Division champion Stars (3-1). The Lazers (0-3) got two goals from Thompson Usiyan.
