North Hollywood 21, Grant 12--Chip Grant rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns, including a one-yard run midway through the fourth quarter to seal North Hollywood’s victory.
Grant also scored on runs of 45 yards in the second quarter and seven yards in the fourth quarter.
Grant, a 5-6, 150-pound senior, finished the season with 1,900 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns.
Mark Taylor’s 20-yard touchdown reception in the fourth-quarter narrowed the Huskies’ lead to 14-12. The score was set up by a 37-yard throw-back pass from Taylor to quarterback Negil Carmichael. Carmichael connected with Taylor for Grant’s first touchdown on a 22-yard pass in the second quarter.
North Hollywood, which improved to 6-3, 4-3 in league play, sacked Carmichael five times. Grant finished at 4-5, 3-4 in league play.
